2017 World Administrative Cities Forum
In 2017, Sejong City hosted the World Administrative Cities Forum. More than 300 people were in attendance from Ankara, Beijing, Brasilia, Islamabad, and Putrajaya.
It was an excellent opportunity to share each city’s experiences and know-hows. In order to create an opportunity for continued meeting between administrative cities, the 5 cities of Ankara, Brasilia, Islamabad, Putrajaya, and Sejong signed a Memorandum of Understanding as founding members of the strategic alliance, the World Administrative Cities Association.
This is a moment of launching a World Administrative Cities Association(WACA).
2018 Inaugural General Assembly
In 2018, Ankara hosted the Inaugural General Assembly. This is the first official event of WACA. Ankara was decided as the first Chairing City(2018~2020) and Sejong was chosen as Secretariat
2019 1st Executive Board Meeting
In 2019, Ankara hosted the 1st Executive Board Meeting as a Charing City. Amb. Lee was appointed as Secretary General and Nur-sultan was elected as next Chairing City(2021~2023)
